Anubis
was the jackal headed god of the Egyptian underworld. His
duties included conducting the souls of the dead to the
underworld and the weighing of their hearts. The son of
Osiris and Nephthys, he is credited with inventing the art
of embalming. Made of cold cast resin & hand painted,

the first embalming in history on his father Osiris, whom
was dismembered by his brother, Set. This granted Osiris
immortality, and both father and son ruled of aspects of

wiped out the human race, running rampant until Ra tricked
her with beer the color of human blood. Also a sun goddess,

base. From the Greek word meaning, "a spit". It
is a monumental tapering shaft usually made of pink granite.
Capped with a pyramid ion at the top. Obelisks are solar
symbols similar in meaning to pyramids; they are associated
with an ancient stone called BENBEN in Heliopolis. They
were set in pairs, at the entrances of temples, and to some
Old Kingdom tombs. |
