Bast
Bast,
a national deity of ancient Egypt, was the cat headed goddess
of the beneficial aspect of the Sun, opposing Sekmet, who
personified its destructive power. She was said to be the
sister or daughter of Ra, and also his wife. She was a kind
goddess, and protects men against evil spirits and contagious
disease. She is depicted here in her full cat form. Made

the ibis headed was the Egyptian god of wisdom and writing.
Thoth conceived himself at the beginning of time, and was
the scribe to the gods and husband of Ma`at. He recorded
the results of the weighing of a spirits heart against the
feather of Ma`at. He is also credited with the invention
of astronomy, geometry and medicine. This statue is made

Isis,

Isis
is considered to be the best representation of the goddess
in the history of man. Worshipped throughout ancient Egypt,
she gradually took on the attributes and functions of all
the other important goddesses. She was the mother of Horus
the Younger and wife of Osiris, who was also her brother.
Considered to be the greatest magician in the universe,
Isis forced the god Ra to reveal his secret name to her,
resurrected her husband Osiris after his dismemberment by
Set, and protected the son of Horus the Younger Amset. Her
functions also included those of motherhood, healing the
sick and marital devotion. She is depicted here with the
disk & horns she absorbed from Hathor. Goldtone painted
pewter approx 3-1/4" tall. |

Isis,

Isis,

image, that with horns and disk, Isis was the most venerated
goddess in Egypt. She was the mother of Horus the Younger
and wife and sister of Osiris. Considered to be the greatest
